Sunday Night Routine To Set You Up For A Productive Week

I’m all about getting organized and preparing for the week ahead. I’m one of those crazy people who really enjoys using Sunday as a reset day. I think Saturdays are made for relaxing, while Sundays are made for cleaning and preparing (but that’s just me and my personality). Here are some tips to help you create the best sunday night routine to set you up for a productive week

Make a list

Make a list of what you need to get done this week. Whether it’s doctors appointments, important phone calls, work deadlines, school activities, etc. HAve everything written down before the start of the week. THis will also help your productivity during the week.

Prepare your outfits

Luckily for me, I get to wear scrubs to work every day. Even though I know what I’m wearing every day for work, I do still lay out my scrubs every night in preparation for hte next day. If you’re someone who has to wear business casual, it is going to be a huge help to plan out for outfits for the week. If you have a busy work day followed by another busy evening with your family, the last thing you’re going to want to do before bed or early in the morning is try to find something to wear. Take your sunday afternoon to get a general idea of what clothes you’re going to wear for the week.

Plan your meals

I’m definitely not someone who enjoys meal prepping every sunday. But I do try to have an idea of what I’m going to be eating throughout the week. If you enjoy meal prepping, have at it. Plan your meals and spend some time in the kitchen on Sunday preparing some healthy choices. Wash and chop your fruits and vegetables, and write down your meal plan for the week. I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing I hate more than trying to rush to find something to eat for dinner after a long day at work.

Workout

I know it’s the weekend, and working out might be the last thing on your list. But try taking 30-45 minutes Sunday morning to get in a light workout, or even a walk in your neighborhood. I truly believe exercising will give you the best endorphins. Working out is a great way to boost your mood and it can potentially give you more motivation to complete the remainder of your Sunday to-do list.

Take time for yourself

Sunday’s are great to use for reset days, but try to find some time to be by yourself. This is probably one of the few times during the week you can get some “me time”. Your work week is probably busy and filled with prioritizing other people’s needs, so take this time for you in order to give yourself a much-needed refresh.
