Fall 2022 Bucket List

It’s no surprise that Fall is my favorite time of year (just like every other woman nowadays). But there is just so much nostalgia in relation to the fall season. It has always been my favorite time of year. Now, I’m not a huge fan of the weather getting colder (because in Ohio I feel like we skip fall and go straight from summer to winter), but almost every aspect of the fall season brings me back to so many wonderful memories in my childhood.

I always have so many plans for Fall activities. And especially now with being a mom, this time of year is even more special and fun. I want to make sure my son grows up with as many wonderful childhood memories as I did. So Here is a Fall 2022 Bucket List that may give you some inspiration for new fall-themed activities to try.

Watch Halloween movies

Halloweentown anyone? If you’re like me, you are excited for this time of year because you can re-live all of your Halloween themed movies without any judgement. Hocus Pocus 2 comes out on September 30, and I feel like a kid in a candy store. Hocus Pocus is always a necessary Fall Movie to keep in your movie nights.

Create The Perfect Fall Front Porch

I will admit I am such a basic b**ch when it comes to fall décor. I have seem some OUTSTANDING fall-themed porch pictures and I have always wanted a front porch to decorate. Of course this one is a little extreme, it is so aesthetically pleasing and makes my fall-loving heart so happy. I am going to try my hand and creating a Pinterest-worthy front porch this year, and hope that my son doesn’t play with the pumpkins like he did last year.

Bake a new pumpkin dessert

I LOVE PUMPKIN. Pumpkin bread? Yes. Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew? Absolutely. Any new pumpkin recipes I am down to try my hand at. Every year my mom would make the most delicious pumpkin bread with cream cheese frosting. All the pumpkin desserts are calling my name this year.

Go to a pumpkin patch

Going to a pumpkin patch during the fall is absolutely a non-negotiable for me. And now that my son is almost 3, he finds it just as exciting as well. We might try to find a hayride this year as I think my son would absolutely love it. But there is just something about going to a local pumpkin patch with your family that really brings happiness to my heart.

Make apple Crisp

I haven’t made an apple crisp in a really long time, but apple is another fall flavor that I love. Apple Cider is one of my favorite things about this time of year. Making an apple crisp dessert this year is definitely on my Fall Bucket List

Have bonfires

Unfortunately with it being as hot as it was this summer, having a fire in the backyard really wasn’t an option most nights. But with the cooler weather coming in, I am hopeful to have plenty of fires in our backyard this season.

Stock up on your favorite fall scents

Bath and Body Works, I am coming for you. I like to convince myself that I don’t spend much money purchasing candles in the spring and summer. Which allows me to buy all the fall and winter scented candles this time of year. Marshmallow Fireside and Sweater Weather will completely taking over my home.

Carve Pumpkins

I’m usually not a huge fan of carving pumpkins, but again, having a child makes this time of year even more fun than it used to be. Last year my son painted his pumpkin, but this year I think we will try to carve one and keep it on the front porch.

Go Trick-or-treating

My poor son had double pink eye last year on Halloween, and of course we had no idea until the next day. We also waited last minute to buy a costume because at his age, he still doesn’t understand the concept of Halloween. But who knows, maybe he will have an idea of what he wants to dress up as for Halloween. But trick or treating is definitely getting more fun as he gets older.

Make a fall cocktail

I’m definitely not a huge cocktail person, but some of the fall cocktails I see online look super festive and sound delicious. So this year, I’m definitely going to try my hand at making a fall-themed cocktail to try.

Hayride

I am determined to take my son on his first hayride this year. I think he will absolutely love it because he loves big trucks. Overall, I think a hayride and a pumpkin patch are MUST DO’s for the fall season.

I am super excited for fall this year, just like I always am. But when you have your own child, it definitely makes the holidays and seasons even more fun and exciting. I am hoping to show my son the traditions I did growing up in order to give him some of his favorite memories as he gets older.
