27 Things I Learned In My 27th Year

This past year was the LONGEST and hardest year of my life. So many challenges physically and mentally, and there were plenty of days I really struggled to make it through. Despite the craziness that 2020 brought, my 27th year was filled with so many amazing memories and new beginnings that I never anticipated. I compiled a list of 27 things I learned in my 27th year, and I definitely will be doing this again for years to come. Cheers to year 28!

  1. Find something you love and pursue it
  2. Being kind to people is the best thing you could ever do
  3. Be present and enjoy the moment, even if it’s not a positive one
  4. Life really is short. Do something every day that you love

  6. It’s OKAY to miss a workout because you don’t feel like it
  7. Being “healthy” doesn’t just mean physically. Mental health is a priority too
  8. Find something you are passionate about and never let that go
  9. Listen to your gut when something doesn’t feel right
  10. Just listen, it will make you more compassionate
  11. Work as hard as you possibly can at the job that you have
  12. Stop comparing yourself to other girls on the internet
  13. Food tastes better than skinny feels. Eat your favorite ice cream.
  14. Music really can heal a bad day
  15. Stop doing things you don’t enjoy
  16. Put yourself out there even if you’re terrified
  17. Some people really don’t have good intentions
  18. You will get through the hard moments
  19. Relationships/Friendships change and that’s okay
  20. People are placed in your life for a reason 
  21. Just write it out
  22. Acknowledge your weaknesses and work to improve them
  23. Be mindful of the company you keep
  24. Social Media is toxic
  25. Don’t follow anyone else’s timeline
  26. Take the time you need to fill your cup. Don’t let it run empty
  27. Don’t underestimate yourself. You can do all the things.
